For many the term Southern Baptist Church brings to mind thoughts of geography. People often ask, "How can this be a Southern Baptist Church in Wyoming?" However, the term Southern Baptist has nothing to do with geography and everything to do with ministry. Churches that elect to cooperate with the Southern Baptist Convention are Southern Baptist Churches. This cooperation is how we fund mission efforts to reach the world with the Gospel. United Baptist Church faithfully gives to support the work of the North American Mission Board, the International Mission Board, the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, and the six Southern Baptist Seminaries in the United States. Ultimately through this cooperation United Baptist Church assist in funding over 10,000 missionaries serving around the globe.
